Four Questions for: Julie Giammattei, Vice President, Strategic Account Director, PM360
We caught up with Julie Giammattei, Vice President, Strategic Account Director, to hear about her experience helping clients navigate through the “new normal”—and navigating her boat near her home in North Carolina. Julie is a recipient of the PM360 A Player Award, which recognizes outstanding team players who exemplify PM360’s core values.
PM360: We’re in an unprecedented time in business history. Zeroing in on the pandemic: How have you seen PM360 clients adapt to the “new normal”? How is PM360 supporting those changes?
JG: From a business perspective, the pandemic acted as a catalyst for change. Companies had to take a very close look at existing workflows and processes and make some rapid changes in order to meet the needs of this new climate. The need for automation and streamlined workflows and processes accelerated—so businesses could continue to work efficiently, nimbly, and with minimal operational overhead in a very new world. As a result, businesses needed to newly focus on ensuring their employees, their most important asset, were doing the right work with the right tools.
Long-term I think that businesses will never return to the exact same brick and mortar building structure that existed before 2020. Working remotely started out as a necessity in 2020 for many businesses; but over the course of the year, there have been emerging success stories and surprising benefits to this new world—importantly including the new efficiencies put in place I’ve described above. So while I don’t foresee that businesses will become entirely virtual, the new world will certainly be different.
Alongside that new opportunity, our clients are facing uncertainty for the future as well. Will there be another pandemic? How will staff do their job efficiently, successfully and safely moving forward and meet the mission critical objectives of their organization?
For PM360, every problem that has arisen has been an opportunity to help our clients do their work differently, and always with the goal of greater efficiency. We’re here to bring stability and reliability to foundational business operations in any climate — no matter what the present or future brings.
PM360: What do you most admire / value in your PM360 teammates?
JG: I’m constantly amazed by how my teammates combine intelligence with humility, passion and positivity for what they do, with treating everyone with respect as their top priority. I also greatly admire all of the forward thinkers and visionaries I am surrounded by at PM360.
PM360: What drives you to excel?
JG: I have always had a very strong worth ethic and take pride in knowing that I am doing a good job that is valued within an organization. The only incentive I need is to know that I am contributing to the greater good of an organization that I am proud to be a part of and share the same vision for the future.
PM360: What do you like to do when you’re not at PM360?
JG: I enjoy spending the day on my boat on Lake Norman, which is a 500 mile coastline lake near my house in North Carolina. I also enjoy swimming, experimenting with new recipes…and trying to keep up with my very active 7 year old son!
